Who we are

Our Firm

Allen & Hoffman Lawyers is a partnership of two lawyers – Danielle Allen and Martin Hoffman.  More than just business partners, Danielle and Martin are also husband and wife.  After founding the firm in 2018 in Victoria, Danielle and Martin moved the firm to Smithers to raise their family and enjoy all of the outdoor adventures the Bulkley Valley has to offer.

Danielle Allen

Danielle gives practical advice in a friendly and approachable way.  She thinks creatively to help her clients overcome obstacles and meet their goals.

Before settling in Smithers with her family, Danielle practised law in Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria.  She began her career in the public sector as Tribunal counsel and then moved to private practice in the areas of labour, employment, administrative and family law.

Danielle is a roster lawyer with the Child and Youth Legal Centre.

Danielle was appointed to the Board of Governors of Coast Mountain College on July 31, 2023.

When Danielle’s not in the office, you can find her exploring local hiking trails or making arts and crafts with her kids.
